CPS Core Phase I

This learning program is intended to enhance case work practice and build on the knowledge and skills that new Child Protective Specialists (CPSs) gained while participating in the CPS Practice Core. During this training, learners will attend Child Safety Conference for CPS, Follow-Up Child Safety Conference (20-Day Protocol), LGBTQ for CPS, and Effective Meeting Facilitation Skills for CPS. Before attending this instructor-led training, learners must complete all course prerequisites listed below.

  • Deepen their skills and understanding of concepts learned during CPS Practice Core.

 

Course Prerequisites

Learners must complete the CPS Practice Core offered by the James Satterwhite Academy prior to registering for this course.

 

Course Components

Once enrolled in this course, learners will complete:

  • A series of four one-day, instructor-led workshops.

Completion of all components is necessary to receive a certificate of completion.

There are no CEUs associated with this course.
