Court Proceedings for Foster Care Case Planners

This learning program supports staff as they navigate the legal framework and practical skills involved in Article 10 proceedings in family court. Learners partner with Family Court Legal Services (FCLS) attorneys to explore each milestone — from the initial appearance and permanency hearings through termination of parental rights. Through case-based exercises and full-case mock simulations, participants develop the ability to gather collateral information; draft clear, fact-based court reports; implement court orders and deliver confident, credible testimony that advances timely, child-centered outcomes.
