Micro-Video 7: Role of Applications in CARES

This eLearning program introduces learners to the role of Applications as the first line of assessment in Collaborative Assessment, Response, Engagement and Support (CARES/FAR).

 

Who Should Attend?

Applications staff from CARES/FAR, Child Protective Specialists and their supervisors, Emergency Children’s Services staff on their own time as directed by Division of Child Protection leadership, and during scheduled coaching sessions with Workforce Institute coaches.

 

Course Benefits

Learners will:

  • Understand how risk aversion and implicit bias play a part in deciding which track to assign a referral received from the Statewide Central Register (SCR).
  • Understand how, through the collaborative process, they are supported when they are unsure of which track to assign a referral.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

 

Course Components

Once enrolled in the course, learners will complete:

  • A 5 to 7-minute eLearning course.

Completion of all components is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.

There are no CEUs associated with this course.
