This eLearning program helps direct service staff to better understand substance misuse and how to work with families affected by a substance use disorder. During this program, learners are trained to identify the signs and symptoms of substance misuse and how substance use can affect the brain.

Direct service staff and supervisors working in Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice.

- Be able to explain Substance Use Disorder and how substance use can affect the brain.
- Be trained to identify signs and symptoms of the various types of drugs that may be misused.
- Be able to recognize the impact of substance misuse on child safety and family functioning.

Once enrolled in the course, learners will complete a 45-minute eLearning course. Completion of all components is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.
