The Office of Training and Workforce Development is housed within the Division of Policy, Planning, and Measurement of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). ACS protects and promotes safety and well-being of New York City’s children and families by providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and early care and education services.
Learning Programs
The James Satterwhite Academy and the Workforce Institute offer a diverse selection of in-person and virtual instructor-led trainings and eLearning programs to support the ongoing professional development needs of direct service staff and supervisors at ACS and its many partner agencies across the child welfare and juvenile justice sectors.
Training Locations
The Office of Training and Workforce Development has state-of-the-art training sites in each borough in New York City that are easily accessible by public transportation. Our training centers are equipped with simulation rooms and cutting-edge technology to provide learners with the skills they need to support children, youth, and families.
