This micro video explores how the Collaborative Assessment, Response and Support (CARES) approach is utilized as one racial equity strategy to reduce the disproportionality of Black and Latinx families in the New York City Child Welfare system.
Who Should Attend?
All Division of Child Protection (DCP) CARES staff and leadership.
- Be able to identify implicit bias and explain how it affects decision making involving youth, themselves, and decision makers in similar roles in the New York City Child Welfare system.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Once enrolled in the course, learners will complete:
- A six-minute micro video.
Completion of all components is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.
