Practice Instructor
Practice Instructors support new Child Protective Specialists as they navigate the Child Protective Practice Core Learning Program and the on the job experience. They work very closely with JSA Supervisors and Trainers to assure classroom learning experience is reinforced by the on-the-job experience. The Practice Instructors provide CPS with a set of structured experiences and activities, in the classroom and support them in translating (transferring) that knowledge and skill into practice. They also play an important role in providing feedback on learners strengths and areas for improvement, to make their transition to the borough office training unit as seamless as possible and to identify developmental needs early on.
