About the Safety and Risk: Investigation, Synthesis, and Assessment Virtual Training

This virtual course will consist of a combination of eLearning modules and virtual synchronous sessions. Learners will first complete a 30-minute eLearning module introducing them to the safety and risk assessment. Learners will then participate in two 90-minute Instructor-led virtual sessions. The first will focus on the definitions of safety and risk and the processes and tools to assess for both. The second will focus on skill applications giving learners the opportunity to apply the safety assessment to a scenario.

 

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for all direct service staff and supervisors in child protection, prevention, and foster care.

 

Important Information

    • Learners will be registered for eLearning modules and/or virtual sessions at the same time.
    • Learners that have not completed required eLearning modules prior to the virtual session will be withdrawn from the virtual session.
    • Learners will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of each component of the program and will not be able to move on to the next component until completing the prior component.
    • Completion of eLearning modules and attendance at virtual sessions will be verified and captured in Cornerstone.
