Initiating a Placement Request in the Placement Module for ACS Staff

This eLearning program describes the purpose and benefits of the Placement Module in the CONNECTIONS system. The training provides an overview of how ACS teams collaborate to ensure a child’s strengths and needs inform the search for possible foster care placement resources. Additionally, the training illustrates how the information entered during placement serves as a foundation for finding the best match.

 

Who Should Attend?

Staff working in Emergency Children’s Services or the Office of Special Investigations who initiate placements, as well as all Child Protective Specialists.

 

Course Benefits

Learners will:

  • Be able to navigate the CONNECTIONS Placement Module.
  • Understand how to enter essential information to initiate a placement request.
  • Learn when to use the CONNECTIONS Placement Module.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

 

Course Components

Once enrolled in the course, learners will complete a 30-minute, interactive, online eLearning module. Completion of all components is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.
