Progressing Placements Through the Placement Module for ACS Staff

This eLearning program describes the purpose and benefits of the CONNECTIONS Placement Module. During the training, learners will be educated on how to initiate a placement request, enter a level of care assessment, conduct a placement search, and execute a placement referral. The training also details the foster care placement process from start to finish and the role each division plays in the process.

 

Who Should Attend?

Staff in a variety of roles that utilize (or supervise the use of) the CONNECTIONS Placement Module, including CPS supervisors and managers in the Division of Child Protection, Child and Family Specialists in the Division of Child Protection and at the Children’s Center, staff in the Office of Placement Administration, Children’s Center Intake and Case Management staff, and the Division of Youth and Family Justice’s Close to Home intake team.

 

Course Benefits

  • Be able to navigate the Placement Module.
  • Learn when the Placement Module is used.
  • Enter essential information to initiate a placement request.
  • Complete a placement evaluation and enter a level of care assessment in the module.
  • Conduct a placement search and execute a placement referral.

 

Course Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

 

Course Components

Once enrolled in the course, learners will complete:

  • An online pre-test.
  • A one-hour, interactive, online eLearning module.
  • An online post-test.

Completion of all components is necessary to receive a Certificate of Completion.
